The students will use MacBook laptop computers for classroom instruction. These computers will be connected wirelessley to a central server, allowing students to login to their own desktop and documents from any of the laptops. The server will also serve as an external firewall, and implement safegaurds on internet site visitation. Multistudent videoconference will be possible with the laptops' built in cameras and microphones. All laptops are equiped with optical audio input and output for music composition, and read/write CD/DVD for taking finished projects home.
All computers will print wirelessly to a commercial quality color laser printer. All computers will also connect wirelessly to any of the classroom's digital overhead projectors.
The students will use Apple's iLife suite for digital photography (iPhoto), video composition (iMovie & iDVD), music composition (Garage Band). Web design will be done in iWeb.
Word procesing will be done with Apple's Pages and Microsoft's Word applications. Spreadsheeting will be done in Apple's Numbers and Microsoft's Excel applications. Presentations will be done in Apple's Keynote and Microsoft's Powerpoint applications.
Vector and bitmap graphics art, and technical drawing will be done in Adobe's Photoshop and Illustrator. Apple's Pages and Adobe's InDesign will be used for page layout applications.
Mathematical plots will be investigated with Apple's Grapher. Data will be plotted with either Numbers, Excel, Kaleidagraph, or Matlab.

More advanced students will have the option of learning computer programming using C, Objective C using X Tools, and the Mathworks' Matlab.
