Mission Statement

Educating students through an academically rigorous curriculum with an emphasis on global citizenship, physical agility and well being, in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.

Principles

At RASA, we believe that every child has a unique constellation of passions and talents best cultivated through personal growth stimulated by academic challenge. The RASA community of teachers and families are committed to nurturing individual talents and personal excellence. Our aim is to develop active learners, well-rounded individuals and engaged world citizens. Our approach is based on establishing a supportive learning environment that is based on a common set of values.

Respect for ourselves, others, and nature: At RASA, we aim to instill an openness to cultures and viewpoints that are different from our own as well as a sense of wonder and respect for the natural world.

Love of learning: Curiosity, discovery, and a passion for knowledge are the underpinnings of our educational philosophy. This is cultivated by developing a solid foundation in all the disciplines, integrating knowledge across the disciplines, and through pursuit of each student's natural academic inclinations.

Personal integrity: Honesty, fairness and ethical behavior is expected from all members of the RASA community.

Confidence: At RASA we believe that students need to develop confidence to think for themselves and effectively convey their ideas. Students will learn from their mistakes and learn that they can accept the consequences of their decisions. These principals are integrated in to the RASA curriculum and instruction style.
